Price - $5.99

I purchased this about a month ago and have fallen in love with it. I had been looking for something to take the pain out of removing all the bugs my patrol car catches throughout the week. After reading Max's description of the pad and his frequent use of it on his beloved Corvette, I figured if it was good enough for him, it would be good enough for me. The pad has not disappointed. I have never found anything that removes the bugs and tar as easy as this.

I always clean the front of the car last. During the wash, I make sure the front end stays wet so the bugs soften up. This definitely eases the removal of them. I also soak the Bug & Tar Pad in a bucket of warm water and Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo during the wash. The pad goes from hard and rough feeling in dry form to soft and supple once it has soaked. The bugs just melt away with the use of this pad. I have also checked the cleaned area the last couple of times after using the pad with my trusty Swirl Finder Light and haven't found any swirls or marring. This pad is extremely safe.

The cold temps in Southern Colorado have done away with most of the bugs. During the spring and summer, the bugs are horrendous here. Here are the few I caught during this past week.

I highly recommend anyone looking for an easier, safer way to removing bugs and tar to take a look at the Pinnacle Safe Scrub Bug & Tar Pad. At $5.99 it is a bargain.

They work great. I don't know how many times I have used it. When I first got it, and felt it. I was like no way am I going to put it on the paint.. Once it was in the soapy water, felt like a totally different sponge.

I said the same thing when I first got one. I don't have to use it very often, but when I do it is invaluable. I have never found anything better for cleaning loads of stubborn bugs off of the front of a vehicle.

I just bought one of these and will echo on the others comments. I was scared when I first received it. There was no way, not even after reading what others had posted, that this would be touching my car. The minute I soaked it and realized how the water/soap combo changes the properties of this tool, it was a whole new ball game.

Awesome and if you live in Florida, this is a MUST have.

IMG, not sure why this is posted here. The 3" pads from Griot's are NOT for painted surfaces. This thread is for the Pinnacle Safe Scrub Bug & Tar Pad that IS for painted surfaces.

I love my bug and tar sponge as well. Just keep it soapy and almost no pressure needed. It is a wonderful little product.
