It's very light, about 4 lbs. and great for side panels. Only draw back is that it starts at 1100 rpm's. No big deal for me as I buff between 1500 and 1800rpm.

I believe you are thinking of the 3403, which is the lightweight smaller version. The 603 is Flex's full size version found here:
FLEX LK603VVB Circular Polisher, rotary polisher, circular buffer, rotary buffer, Flex car buffer, Flex polisher, Flex car polisher, german polisher (http://www.autogeek.net/flex-lk603vvb-circular-polisher.html)

Sorry, misread the numbers.

I wrote a large review thread on the VVB. Search for threads started by me in the reviews forum and you should get all you need.

It really is a great rotary and I heavily recommend it.

Mine will be here on Monday with the pad kit and Wolfgang SR 3.0. I already have the Menzerna.

Just like OP, I have a 7424 but "graduating" to the next step.

from what I here, this rotary is going to be discontinued (if it hasn't already) as the L3403 is basically taking it's place. order up if you want one...
