Are we talking Vinyl, fabric, or both? I used Raggtop on my fabric top and it worked well. After becoming aquainted with the 303 products I have fallen in love and can't wait to use the 303. It's due to be deep cleaned and protected in a month or 2. If it was vinyl we were discussing I am sure there would be no question that 303 is the best. With fabric: from what I have read 303 has a definite edge here as well. The application method is not the greatest with raggtop... A bit of a pain If you tape off and cover your car first then the raggtop can be sprayed on without issues.

I was a user of Raggtop before I got some 303 Fabric Guard and will never go back. Renovo apparently makes some good stuff too, never tried it though. My favorite combo is Raggtop fabric cleaner and 303 Fabric Guard, great pair!

Well, this is the car I'm going to assist my client to sell. It use to look like this:

and this is what it looks like now:

Since my client never drives the darn thing, I got tired of it looking like crap and had him repaint it. I need to do some more detail work to it to really make that new paint job shine it nice and bright. I thought the convertable top would look cool and slick.

It's an '89 Jaguar XJS with less than 15k miles on it.

Cannot go wrong with Ragtopp or 303. One hint, make sure roof is completely dry prior to adding protectant for best durability. Some add while damp and complain of beading.

One more note that I would like to add; it does slightly darken the color, which can be a nice bonus or not. It made my black top look 'richer' which I really like and was not expecting.

Hey, I would love to get that look on the Jaguar. I will get it back in my hands in the near future and do a full all out detail on it.

Is this the 303 item you folks are talking about? It's on BOGO.

The 303 Fabric and Vinyl Convertible Cleaner removes stains and soiling from your vinyl or fabric top through a unique colloidal action. (http://www.autogeek.net/303fabcontop1.html)

There is also this one out there:

What is the difference between the two 303 vinyl/fabric cleaners. The one that does not have "convertible" in its name is almost double the price. So what is the difference in the two cleaners?:work:

Now, I have a new vehicle to detail on Wednesday. It's a '99 Suburban with almost 200k miles on it. Both the headlights and brake lights are nice and messed up. That will be a nice and new project for me to get down. I've got an idea of what I will do but, I will mess around with it tomorrow and Friday.
