Hey Everyone,

I have an odd question. One of my main clients has too many vehicles, and they never have taken care of them and on their 2005 Mercedes Benz S55 feels like the clear coat is pealing off. My client, female, wears way too many lubricants on her body. She gets that stuff all over the door panels, steering wheel, leather seats and about everything else inside any vehicle.

Do not freak out too much looking at this picture:

This picture was taken a while back. NOW, it looks much worse that this picture shows:

The people who use to clean this Mercedes never really took care of the interior.

What would you recomend? Today, I cleaned the interior with my new steamer and Meguiars APC+ if needed. I will try and take some pictures of the driver and passenger front door panels.

Have you tried a Magic Eraser or one of those Hi-Tech Eraser sponges? Those are supposed to be good at lifting stains up and out of the surface.

Nope. It was already happening when I got the S55. I had some Eraser stuff in my vehicle, which I left at their office, and just wished to use the steamer to try to get all of that stuff off. I was able to get a major amount of it off with the steamer but, all of it has not been removed yet. I told her to quite wearing all of that lotion stuff. She said, "yeah. Right.......". LOL

Hahaha. I think the leather cleaning brush that Autogeek sells may work as well. It looks like most of the lotion is on the leather of the door panel. I bet a good leather cleaner or APC and some brushing may help out a lot.

Here is the brush I am talking about:
Vinyl & Leather Scrub Brush (http://www.autogeek.net/vilescbr.html)

I ordered two of those puppies on my last order from Autogeek. My father's vehicle has a fairly bad food stain in the driver's leather seat. I am going to try brushing it out with that brush and Meg's APC+ 10:1 and if that doesn't work, I am going to try using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I will update you on what works for me, maybe it will help out with your customer and the lotion.

What is all that peeling

Well, they've had the S55 since it was new back in early 2005. No one has ever taken care of the sedans interior OR exterior. It had already started to peel since I got my hands on the sedan. I think they have too many vehicles and they are all the same or even worse. I will get her MB GL 550 on Monday. I have to take the wax off all the rubber molding on the outside of the SUV. I also have to get their '89 Jaguar XJS Cabrio & '91 BMW 850I ready to put on the market to be sold. They want two more Mercedes Benz next year when the body styles have changed.

DANG. It makes me feel so sad that people who have such nice vehicles do not even take care of them.
