My car is 4months old with very light or hardly any swirls on the paint and I bought this (http://www.autogeek.net/wolfgang-porter-cable-combo.html) porter cable set for it.
Would the orange pad be too hard for the paint? Should I be using a softer pad?

Always try the softer pads first. The more aggresive you go, the more marring the pad leaves behind. So if you use the orange, you will need to follow it up with a finishing polish and finishing pad.

Perfect :dblthumb2:

I would say invest in some white polishing pads as they will be your most used pads :buffing:
