Has anybody tried (heard of anybody) vacuum sealing some products to try and preserve them? With all the #16 I have I will not live long enough to see the bottom of a few of them. So instead of having them possibly dry out on me I was thinking of vacuum sealing them.

I say forget the vacuum sealing and share your #16 with your fellow detailers instead. :p

:confused: Now that's a good question. I don't know, but from what I have seen, if the moisture stays in, the product will last. I think you're on to something. If I can help in any way, like buy a can :D from ya, let me know.

I remember seing a commercial on TV a while ago about vacum seal. It was basically designed for food, but I think it will work on anything. But I can't remember the name.

I have a vaccum sealer...I buy meat in bulk..cheaper..and I vaccum seal them...the vaccum removes the air which is a oxidizer ..I have found meat in the freezer over a year old and when thawed was as fresh looking as the day I put them in...

vaccum sealing your wax will basicly preserve it for a long time...you will be removing the air which in part is the oxidizer ..

I don't think the vacuum sealing could hurt, and I'd bet that it helps!

My wifes got the one's that suck a comforter into a small storage bag. Might be cool, but make sure the lids on tight !!

Where did you buy it?? Model/Name/ect/ect??

My guess is as long as the lid hasn't been removed the wax should be fine,now if the lids off and the wax was exposed to air then that my be a problem.

Thats the problem 3 of my tins were purchesed through specialtymotoring.com's dent and ding sale when he had some #16 left. 1 has the dent near the lid but I doubt the lids are air tight.
