Hey guys, my name is Rob DiTerlizzi, owner of a new detail shop in Palm City, Fl. (3 miles from AG), Impressions, Fine Automotive Detailing. I'm 50 years old and been detailing cars since I was 13, professionally I was a car wash manager for 11 years in Staten Island NY, where I did most of the fine detail work, since 92 I've been in the auto repair business, recently due to the poor economy, I found myself looking for a new job, I already had a piece of prime commercial property with automotive businesses to draw from (tire & auto repair facility, service station/convenience store, lube center), so I decided to do what I've loved since I was a little kid detailing all the neighboors lincolns, mercedes, rolls and customs, With a small shop 14'x36', that was originally a roll over car wash, I proceeded to set up shop. the nice part of my new shop is the floor is set up as a full drain system (from the old rollover car wash) so everything is done inside out of the sunlight. I also have a 2 post automobile lift and would like to get into specialized undercarriage detailing for the car show guys. Undercoating is also an option.
I stumbled across AG surfin detail forums and found it to be full of great information and a vast amount of knowledge. I'm glad to be part of the Autogeek family, and looking forward to doing business with them. I am going to attend the extreme makeover on thursday night and already signed up for the Porsche club 101 on saturday, looking forward to learning the lastest tricks of the trade from Mike and the gang.
I love to talk cars, trucks, jeeps, boats or anything with an engine, I also enjoy working on them. Cars that I have are; 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara with a 5" lift kit and 37" tires, 1989 Jeep Wrangler with a 454 Chevy motor and military Duece and a half (2.5 ton) axles, custom built 4 link suspension and 44" tires, 1989 Jeep Wrangler 6 cylinder auto with 4" lift and 34" tires (daily driver), 1977 Dodge D300 4 door with a slopeback race car hauler body to tow my toys, and lastly my boat, a 1991 Four Winns Liberator 221 with a 454 engine
Glad to be here and looking forward to cleaning alot of cars

That's a serious 4x4 without going too far off the deep end. Need to post a picture of it.

What are you driving here on Saturday?

Also, are you coming by on Thursday for the MGB Extreme Makeover?

Mike if you head up this way on a detail/training road trip some day, you need to hit Uwharrie.

NCNatural's Uwharrie National Forest (http://ncnatural.com/NCUSFS/Uwharrie/index.html)

That shop sounds like a wonderful set up, especially the jacks for detailing underneath the car.
I would love to see some :Picture: of the shop.

Also make sure to do some before and after write-ups of some of the cars you do.

Always a good read.

Cheers,
Matt.
