Tape question

Whats the difference between automotive masking tape and just regular 3m blue masking tape? I seen like a neon green colored automotive masking tape in the store. And just curious to the differences in the two. Thanks

Painters tape/Automotive tape. As far as I know it's mostly a difference of adhesive level and resistance to transfer of said glue. Automotive tape is a little stronger adhesive than the blue painters tape. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken :)

Either will usually work fine.

The blue tends to have better adhesion where the green tends to be more flexible if you are going to be doing a lot of bending of the tape as opposed to cutting and building up around a curved area. It really is a matter of what you feel comfortable working with. I have used both and have no specific bias either way.
