Everything is set-up and ready to go! Coffee will be hot! Donuts will be fresh!

October 3rd, 2009 Detailing 101

The emphasis of the Detailing 101 class is to learn the basics of what I call the 3 P's

Paint
Products
Procedures

We'll learn to use our hands and the dual action polisher to remove swirls and scratches, then polish the paint to perfection and then seal the paint with a wax or paint sealant.

While lots of people want to jump right to the Advanced Class, it's important to have the above basic skills under your belt first. Besides, you can't always fix everything by machine, so hand techniques are important too.

The focus will be on how to use Meguiar's products for paint correction, polishing and protecting as well as over all car detailing.

Because you can use all of the different tools with Meguiar's paint care products we will also have these tools on hand as well as the G110 for everyone to test out.

Dear Mike,
Thank you for setting this class up. It was very helpful, we got to look at new products and got to see how products we can purchase at our local auto part store can perform the same job at products like M105 and M205. You taugh us so helpful trick to get the job done with ease. We also got to try out diffrent DA and Polishers, I am deff going to get a Flex polisher after today. Thanks very much Mike for a very informative session. I'm only an enthusiast who works on my own car and I was able to pick up a lot of great tips.

We all know that Mike's reputation preceeded him to the East Coast. Happy to report that he did not disappoint. Newbee or Pro, you are guaranteed to pick up some gems from this class. I definitely plan to come back for 102 as soon as possible.

Thanks to Max, Mike, Meghan, Jason, Dwayne and all the AutoGeek folks for the hospitality! You run an absolutely first class operation.

Regards, Jay

So here's an idea.
How about Autogeek does a road trip and does a series of classes across the country.

Thank you Auto-geek (Mike, Jason, Meghan, Dwayne, and Max) for putting such a quality class together. I had a great time meeting the staff and getting to know some fellow enthusiasts.

I would recommend this class to anyone wanting better results from both, the products you're buying, and the time you're devoting to detailing. I learned a lot about the variables involved in polishing paint and how each one effects your results. To me there's no substitute for the kind of hands on experience these classes offer.
