Hello all (Mike),
I have seen you do write-ups with the PC/G110, etc. and use a couple of different pad sizes. Here's my scenario.
Several months ago I purchased the Porter Cable 7424 XL pad kit. (http://www.autogeek.net/porter-cable-7424-accessories.html)
So, 5" BP and 6.5" LC CCS Pads.
I have a vehicle that needs some pretty serious work. Lots of bad acid rain spots, swirls, scratched, the whole 9.
While I think the PC on speed 6 with the 6.5" pads may do it, I just wanted to see if I am wasting some serious time?
I plan on using M105/M205 or Ultimate Compound/SwirlX (as in Man vs. Machine).

A test spot will no doubt show me my results, but a test spot is quite a bit smaller than the whole car. :D

Get some LC 5.5" pads along with a 3.5" bp and some 4" pads for heavier and tighter correction.

:iagree:I'm not a fan of using a 5" backing plate on a 6.5" pad. Use the 5" w/a 5.5" pad for better results.
