Looking to buy a swirl mark lamp. Where can I find one? I have googled it and come up with nothing. Any info would be great. Thanks in advance.

What you want is a good set of halogen or metal halide lights. If you want hand held you want a LED light, a single led bulb light, that is more than 90 lm.

Fenix TK11 is a example of a good LED light. I personally have a JetBeam III-M which has a infinite adjustment so I can pick any light out put from 0-100% brightness instead of preset values.

Locate and purchase a Brinkman Dual Xenon Flashlight also known as a Cruel Master.

For $30.00 this light will highlight and reveal the swirls in the paint and let you know if you're efforts are getting you closer to the goal or further away.

I found them at Pep Boys in both California and now here in Florida.

Dual purpose
Besides working great for exposing swirls they also make a real handy flashlight for in the car, around the house, camping etc. They come with a wall charger and a car charger and the batteries last a long time.

Thanks Mike. That is just what I was looking for, something that works good and is reasonably priced.

In my opinion, this is the best option for most people. There are other lights out there but they usually cost more, or are not as convenient to use due to being affixed to a stand.

These things work.

They reveal to your eyes if you're getting the job done and bottom line is that's all you need to know.

We would love to carry these if for no other reason as a service to our members but we can't find a contact person from the manufacture to place an order.

If anyone has this information send it to me in an e-mail or a PM and we'll get right on top of it, heck I'll place the first order for a spare to keep in my boat.

Thanks!

Just by coincidence, I'm going to be in Dallas, Texas in November, maybe if I get in early enough on Friday I can pay them a visit.
