Hi,

The tip of my EZ Detail Brush has broken off a few weeks ago. I've been trying to just use it more carefully now but I am still afraid of scratching my rims.. My EZ Detail Mini Brush has been holding up fine, and I have two EZ Detail Brushes and two EZ Detail Mini Brushes on standby (brand new and unused) but I'm not going to pay for new EZ Detail Brushes every few months just because the tip can't stay on.

Does anyone have a solution or some kind of fix to safely use a broken EZ Detail Brush tip? Personally, I lost the tip of my brush when it popped off because I wasn't aware that it happened until I moved onto the next wheel. I'm also going to e-mail EZ Detail directly and complain to them.

Thanks,
Emile

umm go to your local hobby shop. one that carries like remote control cars.....on top of the antenna stem there is a black nipple that you can buy and slip right on top there. Just ask them "i need a new antenna stem and cap" they may just have the cap at the top and that's all you need.

Home depot sells this rubber coating stuff for tools. You dip the handle of a tool in this stuff and let it dry, and it ruberizes (that may not be a word) the handle. I would think that's a pretty simple solution to your problem...

Hardware stores carry those caps. They are called tubing and pipe end caps. Choose one that fits snugly, then heat it with moderate temp to shrink it and it will stay on longer.

Or....

apply Seal All, install the cap end and it will stay on permanently.

Any auto parts store should sell rubber caps used to plug vacuum lines and in a variety of sizes. Add a drop of glue, and you should be fine.

I don't think I want another cap...wouldn't that just brake off again?

What CTS-Veo said sounded good. I searched online and found some stuff called Plasti Dip. I will give that stuff a try.
