[FONT=Comic Sans MS][COLOR=Red][B]This truck needed some MAJOR attention. It's been years since it's had a wax, and probably never a polish. The owner had neglected it for so long, that it was almost at a point of no return! This truck is owned by one of N2S's members, 'derek'

Process:

ONR washed entire vehicle.
Clay barred entire vehicle with 2 Zaino claybars and Megs Clay Lube.
PFW w/menz pg, followed by white ccs pad w/ megs m205
sealed with optimum poliseal
Wheels and side steps removed and polished with #0000 steel wool and sealed with poorboys' wheel sealant
Exhaust tips used same method as wheels

Made quite a bit more progress today. All of the rest of the truck but the hood and roof and tonneu is completely done minus sealant/wax.

Here's a few more during/after shots of it:

Before shot of a deep, nasty scratch. (removed about 90 percent of this with some wetsanding and polish)

Hit this one panel with optimum poliseal and a coat of s100, game out like this next shot below:

tomorrow I should have the nasty-ass hood and roof complete, possibly the tonneau cover, and a coat of sealant and wax on the entire vehicle.

Thanks for looking.

Today, the entire truck got another ONR wash and was hand sealed/waxed with some poliseal and s100 carnuba wax. We removed the washer squirters from the hood to ensure 100 percent of it was corrected.

Hood's coming along nicely:

(pictures taken after hitting the panels with a megs yellow diamond cut pad and some menz power gloss, followed by some m205 on a white megs pad.

there is no wax on the hood yet in these pictures.

After 5+ hours of polishing/hard work, here's the money shots of the hood:

Truck looks amazing! Nice work! A slightly more in depth write up would have been nice, such as speeds used on the Rotary, how long did this truck take you start to finish< did you have a helper? What product did you use with the #000 Steel wool on the rims/skirts?

damn nice!!!!!

what did you use to clean the inside of the rims? Thanks bro! #0000 steel wool, with a hose squirting over and over, simulating wetsanding. worked quite well to break up the grime. obviously this was after a nice soak with some p21s wheel gel :xyxthumbs: afterwords, they were polished by hand with some mothers chrome polish, and sealed with some optiseal

What product did you use with the #000 Steel wool on the rims/skirts?Yeah, I'm sorry...I wasn't able to take as many pictures documenting my work as I wanted to :( I did a little better in my Benz write-up imo. This truck took 3 straight days beginning to end. (I never finished the roof and he's coming back later this week.) It's in worse shape than the hood was :buffing:. Not looking forward to that. I'd say all-in-all, I have about 18-20 hours into this truck. My 'helper' was the truck owner, better known as my friend, and he did the wheels, I did all the polishing/wet sanding. As stated prior, aside from #0000 steel wool, mothers chrome polish was used to polish the chrome steps and wheels. Thanks for looking!

thanks for the info!! i need to buy some of that steel wool. 4 ot, 0000, same thing i believe!!you can get steel wool anywhere...even walmart and home depot have it. that's where i got mine. :) just make sure it's #0000, anything less (less zeros) is too aggressive and will scratch.

as for your polish, i recommend adam's polish if you don't mind ordering some. i've read/seen amazing results with it. look into that ;)
