Hey fellas,

I am thinking of picking up an air compressor. Harbor Freight has this one for $79.

Affordable and portable air supply for powering nailers, general shop clean-up, airing tires and inflating sports equipment.

2 horsepower motor (rated)
115 PSI maximum
Air delivery: 5 SCFM @ 90 PSI; 6 SCFM @ 40 PSI
8 gallon tank capacity
Oil lubrication 120 Volts, 60 Hz, 15.5 amps, 3360 RPM

- Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices (http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=40400)

Based on it's specs would this be a good compressor for home car washing?

Planning to get a foam cannon.

Thanks Walt

Doesnt the foam cannon work off of a pressure washer? I know the tornador hooks up to a compressor but to me the foam lance seems to be the better idea?

Yea, the foam cannon works on a pressure washer, bud. And, the tornador really isn't meant to wash the outside of the car.

GO with the foam cannon. You will not go wrong and it is so much fun not to mention how much eaiser it is to clean your car. I wash the car once a week with my foam cannon.
