My b'day is coming up. I got some 6.5 pads and have seen some incredible differences already but it looks like one of these babies would make things work even better. Someone twist my arm on this.

Well there are several polishers to choose from. I have my eye on one of these. Is it worth it? I'm having some issues with the cheapie I have now.

Oh, the Porter Cable 7424XP...I had to look what section this was under to work out what you wanted.... LOL!

Well I'd say go with the Flex...sorry :p

But, if it's the PC you want ;)...There's nothing like using a machine on your paint, you can't get the same results by hand, if you buy the PC you can work on creating that lovely hard candy look for your paint.

Good luck,
Matt

I would imagine the Flex is awesome but I won't use the polisher on but one maybe two vehicles. I'm starting to find what a machine can do and I'm a newbie at this. When I was a kid I would do it all by hand and still remember how hard it was but my dad would let me use the car in return.

Lucky you.

I think you would do well with the PC XP on your cars. I personally like the method to using the PC and it is I think great for a beginner. It really lets you learn and have fun and is not at all a daunting machine to use.

I say go for it and post pics!:buffing:

Sure sounds like it. When I get one I guess I'll start all over to see the results.
