Just purchased a new plastic (polyethylene) kayak (an Old Town Dirigo 140).
The manufacturer says to use 303 or Armor All protectant on the exterior.
I'm thinking that these products would quickly wash off in fresh (and even faster) in salt water.
So..what about applying a sealant to the hull?
Would a sealant like Klasse bond to the polyethylene?
Any experiences, thoughts, ideas, etc, would be appreciated.
Ironically--the manufacturer of my new kayak is Johnson Outdoors--a division of Johnson Wax.
