Have seen chemical products described for "paint preparation" prior to polishing or LSP, if already prepared?

Any suggestions about which line works well and the appropriate prep-step sequence to use then with?

Appreciate the feedback.

I use a paint cleaner after washing my vette, before waxing. If I am doing a detail I just do an IPA wipedown before applying my lsp.

Hey how do you guys know when a paintwork cleanser is ready to be buffed out?

I have Wolfgang Paintwork Polish Enhancer and the finger swipe test doesn't seem to work on it. I like to apply by hand to the entire vehicle and then buff it all off, maybe giving it 15-20 minutes of "sit time" in case the glaze fillers need some time to work.

i dont have any problems with my wolfgang ppcl drying in that time frame. perhaps your applying too much or it is very humid? removal by the way is why i prefer the p21s, its just a little easier to remove than the wolfgang imo

Nope, the product is easy to buff off and time (or lack of time) doesn't seem to change that.

Thanks for the responses.
