Here is a 3 week old Impreza STi that was hacked by the dealership before delivery. The owner told me he stated to the salesman that he did NOT want it washed. Instead, he insisted to put his "black paint specialist" to clean it up before the pick-up time. Well, let me tell you that he is more like a black paint assassin.

Rims received Chemical Guys Wheel Gel then agitated with brushes. Tires and wells got Chemical Guys Orange Degreaser. Foamed with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash Clear and washed with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash Gloss using 2BM.

The car was then dried, clayed, and taped up ready for paint correction. The paint was VERY SOFT and sticky so I used Meguiars M105/White @ speed 5 then Menzerna Nano/Blue @ speed 5. KEEP IN MIND THIS CAR IS 3 WEEKS OLD!

The car then received an IPA wipedown and foam/rinse to rid of all the oils and polish dust. I then used my D/A to spread on the Chemical Guys JetSeal109 using a Blue pad. While the sealant was curing, I continued to dress the tires and polish up the exhaust tips.

Extremely impressive results! Do you think that maybe the factory just didn't polish the vehicle after painting? The amount of scratches on the car seems like it went through multiple machine car washes.

very nice turn around. Boy was that thing hacked up. I keep trying to tell people i know or just in general to never allow the dealership to detail your vehicle. They just hand over chemicals and tools to new hire detailers that they pay dirt cheap and let them hack away.

What do you charge for a job like that?

Exactly, thank goodness you actually got a hold of this STi when you did. With it being black ,the only thing the dealership does is scar the paint. I was suprised too from the amount of hazing/swirling the paint had. Great job and the black look like a deep pool of oil, just plan amazing!

yeah the paint was very hazy as stated above for it being such a new vehicle. That shocked me.

Did you hit the car with something after the jetseal? What was used on the tires to dress it up?

Very Nice Work . I Watched a detailer today grab rotary off the floor wool pad against the floor with compound on it .From what i could see he was using 3m heavy cut compound plus what ever sand was on the floor on a 2010 Platnium F150 Royal Blue . Would love to see the Swirl/Scartchs he produced . Be I was in a rush, I talk to the Service Manager about what I saw . He answer was that was sales dept issue and he was probably trying to remove delivery scartches. Which scartches do you think were worse . I just feel bad for the person that buy's that Truck .I was sharp looking. LOL

If my dads Ford, Lincoln Mercury dealerhip did something like that, I would not be shocked. I've seen how they can destroy used cars traded in or clients personal vehicles. Heck. I took one of their RED used cars, that was on the lot for about 2 months, and clayed & Buffed the exterior. They sold it the next day. Hmmmmmm

Off Course this was the same dealership that the detail guy was standing in 1" of water buffing a car cause the drain was clogged . I was their doing work on their Oil/Water cause it was not draining. I offered to fix the drain for free so nobody got hurt or killed he just had clear the space for a couple minutes . I pumpout basin and water jetted line took 10 minutes drain flowing perfectly right to the separator. Told the serv manager about it told him I did it for free, He didn't say thanks. He was mad I stop the for 10 minutes and was going to call my office for do work that their to do (for free mind you people never seem to amaze me. Here's the Kicker the plugged he was using wasn't even gfi protected ,talk about dancing with the devil. I actually consider buying a truck from this place thank god I didn't

Sounds like the dealership my father is a Manager at. I will not even buy a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury. Bought a Mazda instead. I miss the Infiniti G35 Sedan I traded in for that Mazda. Oh well.
