Hey Folks,

Well, look what arrived at the Ford, Lincoln, Mercury Dealership my father is a Manager at. Not. This vehicle is NOT on the market. It's a vehicle that a FMC Rep drives around to show dealerships features of the new 2010 Ford Taurus and what the NEW SHO is about.

Here are pictures I took of it this morning when it arrived at the dealership. These pics are of the exterior and engine:

Fo'SHO! :D

Awesome car! I bet these suckers will be right nasty with the stock twins making 365 hp! I cannot wait to see some enthusiast love for this!

Wow, I just looked up the specs, 3.5 liter twinturbo V6 for 365hp and 350 torque sending power to all four wheels.

A very practical sedan with a kickass motor.

I just wish I could have driven it. My dad gets to drive it though. Wait. He does not know how to drive a fast car. All HE DRIVES are darn trucks.

Don't worry SCT tuning will have a flash programmer to take care of that.

I actually saw one a month at a Ford event....they sticker around 37k to 39k.

Nice car, awesome powerplant.

Well equipped, they top $42K. Yikes..........that's a lot compared to prior generation SHO's. Also, curb weight is quite a bit above 2 tons. A lot to lug around.................James Healey from USA Today was fairly complimentary about it overall. One thing he "didn't" like were the front seats & apparently it isn't as big on the inside as its competitors. But plenty of get up & go!!

See ya :)

Its a fairly hefty car and price tag, but certainly an upgrade from the standard unit coming out. The mags have all torn up the newer model for steering feeling mundane, so hope they boosted it in these units. For that money I still rather have a G8 GXP however .. and they are gone soon. (but I hear might be moved to Chevy as an Impala SS successor)

I had a 94 SHO. Last year they put the Yamaha motor in it. Damn thing was on of the fastest cars I have had, and surprised the heck out of a lot of people. Five speed and handled very well for a heavy family sedan. Use to love to surprise the heck our ricers and mustangs.

I'm glad to see it revived but the $40K+ and no six speed stick is tough to deal with for enthusiasts.

Well, If someone wants to buy a '97 V8 SHO, let me know. I'm sure my old SHO is in a salvage yard somewhere in the Houston, TX area. :awesome:

Incorrect. 1995 was the last year of the YAMAHA motor. I have one in the garage with just over 58k on it, and Yes it's fast, even today. :D

The new one is ugly. Period. Couple that with no 5 or 6 speed stick, being so heavy, a Plastic Cover that is suppose to be a replacement for the Beautiful engine of the 'old' ones- give me a break. This is not the SHO for enthusiasts.

Lose the weight, make it a smaller car similar to the Fusion, 5/6 speed stick, price around $28-35k, make is MUCH better looking, then maaaaybe you'll get the SHO enthusiasts coming out to buy one. Until then, it's a normal Taurus with a bigger engine. IMHO.
