Lexus LS430

[Mirror Detailing]

Did this one the other day for a friend who owns the shop that I contract with. Car was bad, did not do a full paint correction mostly just wanted to clean it up and remove alot of the swirls left behind from the shop that did the body work. Unforently the thing will need to have a full paint correction done on it to remove all the swirls. Most where etched into the paint, but he is planning on taking it back to the body shop and having them fix it for pay him to pay me to fix it. I used a different set of chemicals that I have yet to hear anyone on here use and gave a pretty good outcome, but could have been better if I went more indepth but anyways...

Meguires Cut & Cream Solo - Yellow Solo Pad
3M 3000 Ultrafina - LC Black Pad
Nattys Red Wax

Yeah, the car came out looking great. It was bad before, but now the paint just looks very clean and sharp.

looks good to me. hows the cut cream compare to megs 105,205 combo if you've ever used it. i hear a lot of talk about that combo on this forum. I've also seen megs Ultimate Compound in local stores anyone tried that yet?:buffing:

Difference! I look at it this way for the best paint correction, stick to SIP, M105/205! The Cut & Cream Solo System is great for a production style detailing. It does give a great turn out doing both steps with the Solo Purple then Yellow pad! Also you can do a whole car in one stage then come back wipe the car off, then go back and do the same with the second step. Its good stuff if your looking to clean a car up and give it a very good shine.

But like I said if your looking for full paint correction, go slower, use stronger compounds and heavier cutting pads!

Meghan, WHITEs are the pain in tha you know what to me. Blacks are easy. :righton:

BTW - Very nice correction detail on the LS bud. I'm shocked that a person, with a nice vehicle, would let swirals happen to it. :cheers:

I have both the Solo System & Megs D151 Recon Cream . You can use the pads the same way . The only difference I notice Solo had a little more bite & both have dimminishing grit both work good on med corrections. 105 is needed for major correction though.A gallon D151 cost less than the quart of solo The Lexus looks great.
