Hey Everyone,

Here is an odd one for ya. One of my big clients, I think they have too many vehicles, has an '08 MB GL550. It only has 2,543 miles on it. They really do not bother to drive it. It just sits outside at their office, as do all of the other vehicles, and collects all the wonderful stuff in the air. The've had this MB for well over a year. They just want it washed, and they know that is NOT what I will do. What I'm going to do it:

Take is to a high pressure car wash. Get the bugs off the front end. Soap it and spot free is. I will also clean the AMG rims at the same time. After that, I will bring it back to my place an us my Duragloss 952 on it. That should make it look nice and new. :D If you feel I'm doing something incorrect, PLEASE let me know. Feed back please

Here is what the GL 550 looks like right now AND where it sits at at their office.

O.M.G.!!!!!!!:( I soaked it with soap, high pressured it and did a spot free to it. That MB has GOT to have a full Stage 1 done to it. Paint is ruff and everything. I think I will texted the owner and tell her she will not have it back till this afternoon. I will clay it then use the Four Star Ultimate Spray Wax Plus OR the Duragloss 951 Aquawax.

Which one, of those two, do you folks like? Feed back please

What does a full Stage 1 mean?

Wow really? Apart from being dirty, I thought the paint looked very reflective LOL!

I drove one of these a couple of days ago, I love the sound of the exhaust when you're driving it.

I wouldnt use either, since they just let it sit out and ruin I would coat it with some Wolfgang Sealant or Klasse, and I would double the coats up! And I hope you have extra clay, that baby is going to eat up a clay bar or two!
BUT most importantly since it never gets driven I would suggest a car cover since it is just sitting out in the elements all day!

I have neither of those. The more I clay this thing, the more ticked off I'm becoming. LOL I'm starting to think what I REALLY wish to buff onto that MB.

To ME, Stage 1 is just a quicky:

Wash
Clay
Buff

Nothing special.

I'm pretty much done this the GL550, however, I will not be able to post the pics and advise you what I did with it until sometime tomorrow. I can't use my digital camera until tomorrow afternoon. There is something I need to take pictures of tomorrow that EVERYONE will want to see. It's all good stuff.:Picture::cheers:

WOW! This SUV turned out to be a shock. It had a lil problem that you could not see. It, plus all of my clients other vehicles, was covered in over spray. My client owns a fuel, propane and electricity business. One of his workers painted some propane containers which hit all of HIS, and his employees, vehicles. Here is what I used to correct the problem:

wash and clay, of course
Poorboy's Trim Restorer - On all the outside black moldings
Flex with two yellow pads
Menzerna Supre Finish
Four Star Ultimate Paint Protextion
Poorboy's Bold N Bright

It turned out just find. I just did not have a chance to finish some of the exterior touch-ups to it to complete the exterior. I did not even have a chance to start a small clean-up of the interior. It's not bad since no one ever drives it.

Here are the AFTER pics:

Wow, she looks great. I like these new GL550's with the huge wheels, it looks like they are aftermarket rims without being overly flashy.
