Hey, as the title suggests, I was buffing some harsh spots today and my 6" backing plate split in 2 pieces, the part that connects to the buffer, and the part that hooks to the plate. Any chance there is some type of manufacturer's warranty on it?

lol I'm not expecting much but I figured it was worth a shot - I'd imagine those aren't supposed to just split apart.

Thanks,

James

Another good reason to buy from AG, they back what they sell.

Sorry, didn't notice this thread had continued...

The 4 small foam connections just let go. The bottom section of the little bit looks all smooshed because I had to use a pair of vice grips to separate it from my PC as there was little else to grip.

For their credit, DI priority-shipped a new backing plate, and only requested that I send them a picture of the broken plate. They just took a bit to get back to me. Meghan was extremely helpful and she was very available and responded speedily. +1 for DI, +2 for AG.

It's a very common occurrence. Having a spare, or even two, is a very wise move.
