I was contacted about cleaning up a bike, the owner just picked it up a couple weeks ago and set up a detail to get the bike back in shape. It has its fair share or surface scratches/water etching/road grime from sitting/riding in the rain over the past few weeks.

A quick swipe test on the front wheel..notice the letters have almost turned black as well.

The back wheel needed a good cleaning as well.

The paint was in dire need of a machine polish. To machine polish a bike, you must remove anything that could get snagged or hit by the rotating assembly of the machine. I usually start by removing the seats or any objects that protrude from the bike, the smaller stuff I tape off to prevent any damage.

In this lighting, you can clearly see the heavy water etching from sitting water.

In this image, you can clearly see the amount of surface scratches/swirls in the paint.

I proceeded to tape off half of the tank. I was surprised at the outcome, a true night and day difference!

Now some AFTERS! It was starting to sprinkle again as it had been raining on and off throughout the day, so please dont mind the water droplets. ;)

This is a nice shot to show off the bikes lines.

Thanks! It always looks really hard, but its not too bad. You just have to take your time and do small sections at a time.

I used M105/white pad via DA on speed 6 and Zaino AIO on small hard to reach areas.
