Hey guys, I used NXT 2.0 and applied UQD afterwards for the first time on my personal car yesterday. Last night I went to a car show and as the night got cooler (Still 50F+) The car got a bit of moisture on the trunk, and when I went to check it out this morning, there was a light residue there that I could take off by brushing my fingers over it. Is this normal?

It may be that the resdiue or streakiness that you are talking about is from the NXT. It can happen if you apply it too thickly and don't let it dry long enough.

Okay, I mean in either case it came right off with a MF towel, I was just curious.

I'm thinking it was probably night/morning dew? But yeah it was also probably NXT 2.0 or UQD residue that was not fully buffed out.

humidity where I'm at has caused some similar streakiness using NXT, as well as some spray waxes or better QD sprays.

I'm used to night/morning dew, I'm just not used to it sticking and creating residue that has to be cleared away by me.

Humidity here is 24/7. I no longer us NXT 2.0. It's very good for one wash. After that wash, you have to wax the car again. I've turned to Four Star. Shines everything like NXT 2.0 BUT, last much longer. :cheers:

Heh, you may consider it really strange, but actually I like waxes that only last 1-2 weeks - I really enjoy waxing my car that much =p - the sooner I can get that freshly waxed shine back the better, and a week seems to be a pretty solid time frame for me to that effect.

If that is the look you are going after, I suggest you go after a good carnauba wax that has some durability and lots of shine and decent protection to stand up to the humidity. For that, I would suggest DP MaxWax. There is a huge thread in the DP section that speaks for itself :)
