This was prob one of the worst cars i have ever seen/done before. So the story i was told that it was left in the sprinklers for a week then it was baked on in 110 degrees weather during that week. So it was takin to a dealer to see if they could fix it. The guy said it looked great when he picked it up. No waterspots buffer trails anything. Then when he got home he said it looked even worse, they just appeared out of no where. He could literally watch them appear. Not only were the water spots still there but buffer trails up the ying yang. So i said no prob bring it by, see what i can do. Holy crap, i was impressed how this car looked, never seen anything like. They deff buffed it but the spots were deff etched into the cc, i donno how they didnt notice them. So anyways check out the pics.

Sorry i used my phone, most the time i dont take pics but this i had to show you guys!!!

So i ended up color sanding the entire hood with 2000. Then hit it with 105/pwf at 1800rpms, presta swirl/lc white polishing pad remover at 1200rpms, menzerna 85rd/ grey finishing at 1200-900rpms. Took me 5 hours maybe 6 on the hood alone. The rest of the car is just as bad. Cant wait to go to work in the morning!!!! :buffing: Ill try to remember my camera

The hood after, enjoy!!!!

awesome man.

Do you think the sanding was necessary or could you have gotten by with a wool pad ?

I tried three different compound/wool combos. It did look much better but if you looked close you could still a faded outline of where the water spot. I couldnt get it a hundred percent without sanding. It was deff itched into the CC. It was fun non the less. Thanks for looking.

Hope everyone has a good 4th!!!! Time to go finish this beast!!!:righton:

Boy, I hope you really charged him for that work. BLACK is an evil color if it has issues on it. You can see the issues from a great distance. LOL

Very good work on that BMW.
