Hey Everyone,

I have a question for you. How much do you charge people to detail the interior of their vehicle? Here are rates that I was charging until I worked on the past three vehicles:

Interior Car Care

Shampoo Carpets

All floor mats and carpeting will be shampooed and deodorized.

Cars . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $30.00 +
Trucks . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $35.00 +
SUV’s . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $45.00 +

Allow 2 to 3 hours

Seats

Clean and condition the leather seats with Lexol. Interior will also have the dash, console and door panels cleaned. Cloth seats are shampooed at the same price listed below.

Cars . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $50.00 +
Trucks . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $55.00 +
SUV’s . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $65.00 +

Allow 2 to 3 hours

The past three vehicles (Lincoln Navigator, Ford Freestyle & MB E320) have pets that must live in them when THEY are in the vehicles. Each of those vehicles have animal furr anywhere & EVERYWHERE!!!! It takes almost a full day just to get the carpet and leather interior clean.

I want to advise my clients that if they have pets that are always in the vehicle that leave furr everywhere, I will charge them a MINIMUN $100.00 interior detailing fee.

What do you think about that? Feed back please Here is a pic of atleast one of the vehicles.

That's exactly what I charge... interior or exterior. I much prefer to be working the exterior though.

Just as a general rule, I prefer to have an all encompassing price. Rather than charge people more money for a challenging detail, I'd rather give folks a break on the price for a cupcake. People HATE being nickel and dimed, but EVERYONE loves getting a break on the price!

I run a detail shop/carwash and my prices are right with yours if i am not washing the outsides just doing the work inside i charge 30 for carpet in a car extra 5 for 3rd rows and extra 5 for cargo areas.... i guess it depends how fast and how well you can do it. i get them done in under 30 min first time done right! so at that rate im 60 an hour, and thats my rate!

I start at $100.00 if they have kids and/or pets. After 2.5 Hours its an additional $20.00 for each 30 minutes. My materials cost is covered in that first $100.00 . I like to apply my emulsifiers and let them work in for awhile, especially if I have fruit juices or Candy. If they have attemted to clean it them selves with a foaming carpet cleaner I also charge more for chemical removal. If it is a high end Car with HIGH Quality mats I do a pre-soak where I totally submerse the mat in water with a chemical cocktail of degreasers and detergents sometimes for up to an hour. I follow this step with a jetting off at garden hose pressue with water.

Just finished a CLS Benz that had a dead cat in it. I charged $700.00 dollars. It is like brand new and no smell even after 7 days. I wore one of those dust mask with Vicks Vapo Rub spread on the inside of it! it took 8 hours to clean.
