This Porsche was at a dealership where a friend sells cars and his dad owns the business
I happened to be doing some work there restoring some fire damage cars, when I saw this car my friend just got from an auction and had it for sale
I noticed the paint was faded, and had some nasty scratches. The nose and where the hood meet were two different tones of red
The car is also a single stage paint
My process was pretty basic, I wasn't going all out, but I offered my friend a freebie to just let me use my new toys and new products I was dying to use

Tools I've used:
Flex DA Buffer
PC 7424
Griots 3" DA buffer (got it from AG)
LC Constant Pressure Orange Pads

Products I've used:
Menzerna PO85RD3.02
Meguiars M105
Meguiars M205
Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant
Blue Magic Claybar
Duragloss 265 Trim and Rubber Spray

I proceeded with a claybar treatment. Then Menzerna with an LC CCS Orange pad. Worked some spot scratches with the M105 and followed by the M205. Wiped down the car after the polish was completed with IPA and then laid down a coat of Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant with my PC and an LC CCS Black pad

Here are some before. Notice the Porsche parked next to another red one and you'll see fading on the paint and the nose and hood difference in color...

Thank you fellows. Much appreciated :)
It's nice to be back posting on AG. I've been busy, I've done a lot of detailing, but my camera went missing in action. I finally found it. Got lost during a move-in
Anyway...AG now carries Griots products. I bought some of the blue MF towels, and I love them. Good towels to remove sealant, polish, and have a nice feel to it
I also got from AG the Griots 3" Random Orbital. It's a timesaver. I love this little tool
M105. This product is so easy to use, it's ridiculous. I was afraid of using it. I've read so many complicated stories, I didn't know what to expect
Really, very easy to use, it doesn't dry right away like I was imagining, you can keep working on it longer and safely. Not only will it remove defects faster with my Flex, but if you work it correctly with minimal pressure it will leave a glossy finish
M105 it's just nice. I've never got to use the original version, this M105 and M205 I've got are the DA version, so it may be the reason why it was so easy to use, and so awesome!

I won't comment on the Blackfire WD since AG does not carry it, but let me just say I bought an extra bottle a week after I've used it for the first time...

Great work. Your prep and Blackfire Wet Diamond left a great look!

That was my thought exactly.
I've got to do something. I couldn't resist! :D
My friend has a kid that does all the detailing for him, and I've watched him work, and he does a really great job. They have the Prima line and Griots line as their product of choice. They got a Makita and the Griots DA Buffer also. So, their detailing department is really nice and well-equipped

I asked the kid why he didn't polish the Red Porsche, and he told me he was afraid of working on single stage paints
So, that's how I ended up doing this for my friend

Stupid question.

That place where you cleaned the Porsche, do you know if they sell wheels? I see a picture, or two, of a BMW 850I wheels. I have a client with a 1991 BMW 850I that has all 4 wheels destroyed. I know he loves that car and I will advise him I know where some wheels are if he wants to buy them.

Here are some pics of his 850I:

Wow, good eye, buddy
I don't think they sell wheels, but I will inquire about those in the picture and I will let you know if they're willing to part with them
I'll call this morning and see what I can find out for you...

The inside of this facility is a car museum as well, it's a huge place and it keeps some really expensive and rare cars

Well, since I have brain damage, I think way beyond what "normal" people think. That is also why I do not sleep much. :( Most people, these days, only think from A to B. I'm always thinking from A to Z. I constantly think about solving problems. That is why I'm a very good problem solver. Im the MAN

The 993 carreras were my favorite. And if i'm not mistaken the cabriolets were rarer. Love what you did to revitalize that paint. Its not everyday you can see a 993 in pristine condition as that.

Hey bud, the wheels you saw in the pics belong to a customer.
PM me the size of the wheels you're looking for, and I see if my friend can locate some for you, and give you a price...
Just PM me with the info, and I'll what can be done...

Thanks.
The minute I saw the car, I knew right away I could make it look better. I didn't even charge my friend a penny. I just wanted to work on it and try my new products. I'm glad he took my offer ;)
I love cars and I love detailing. It was quite rewarding when I looked at the finished product
