View Full Version : Opti-bond for Engine?

I just ordered a gallon of Opti-bond, never used it before, but from the pics it looks like it might look good on plastic parts in the engine, especially hoses. Anyone ever tried this, and how did it look?

its water based so plastics and rubber lines should do fine with it. Never tried myself ...

I use it on my engine bay and it looks great and works great.

On hard plastic optibond makes them look extremely black and rich. Same with softer rubber except it will have a slight sheen if not wiped down.

It won't attract and hold dust like solvent based dressings.

Btw if you didn't already know, put in a spritzer/sprayer bottle and dilute 1:1. You won't lose any of the looks or durability but it will be easier to work with and double the value.
