This only happens right after you detail your car....
Saturday I gave the car a bath and spent a little time making her shine. Then Sunday I went to Orlando and somewhere between here and there, the Love Bug gate was opened. It was so bad I ran out of washer fluid on the way up trying to clean the windshield. I had to do the unthinkable and stop at the rest stop and let that nasty well water spray down my windshield just so I could see to drive. I have never seen so many bugs.

Decided to try out my Brass Water Jet Nozzle (http://www.autogeek.net/brass-water-jet-nozzle.html)to see if I could loosen and remove a good bit of them without having to actually touch them! It actually removed a good bit of the bugs.

After a few mins of hitting it with the nozzle it was looking a little more manageable.

Luckily it removed the bulk of the "bodies"!

And of course I did not have anything I would normally use to clean this down with so I grabbed the Amazing Roll Off (http://www.autogeek.net/amazing-roll-off.html). You would think I would have a good stock of supplies, I mean I do work at Detailing Supplies Headquarters! But regardless my cabinet is looking empty and luckily Roll Off did the trick.
I probably have no wax left but Roll Off is clear coat safe so drastic situations call for drastic measures!

Then on for the washing... little bit of DP Xtreme Soap...

Then switched over to the Fire Hose Nozzle (http://www.autogeek.net/fire-hose-nozzle.html), DP Xtreme (http://www.autogeek.net/foam-gun-soap.html) was making some good foam in my DP Wash Bucket (http://www.autogeek.net/car-wash-bucket.html)!

And for all of you that are scared of the Safe Scrub (http://www.autogeek.net/pinsafscrub.html), here it is working on the bugs on my black car! I LOVE THIS SPONGE, and its Loves Love Bugs!:D

So after about 30 mins of working over the front of the car, mirrors, windshield and part of my roof, I am bug free!!! Next time I have to go to Orlando I need to borrow someone's car!Im the MAN

I think you should remind us all how old the coat of Fuzion on your car is, because that beading is sick!

Car has not been waxed since Detail Fest, and even then I think Ed just put a coat of Pinnacle Liquid Spray Souveran on it. Yes I know, its time to wax again... :D

The last wax before that was Fuzion over a year ago though, right?

Now THAT is where I'd like to see an application of PB Bug Squash. I just tried it on some dried up bugs on the front of my Subaru today, and it worked like a charm.

I am keeping some in the glovebox in a small pump sprayer.

I believe this was the last Fuzion application. But I am not sure, its been a long time since I have waxed my car, I am ashamed to say!

Good job. Yuk, with the Love Bug season. Your beading still looks great. Must be the way that Fuzion was buffed off @DFIII, lol.

Either that or saran wrap around the front of the car.

wow! Now that is alot of bugs! I have family in FL and driving down from NC and back up in the summer time I dont even get that many bugs on the front of the car. Good job cleaning it up and surprised how well Fuzion has held up, cant wait to try it on mine coming up soon!

I would not use saran wrap, painters tape is your friend :righton:

Ahh see you must have missed Detail Fest III, one of our members drove down from Ga with clear plastic wrap around the front of his vette, was very interesting to watch him unwrap it.

ahhh I see, yeah I have not made it to any of the detail fest...hopefully the next one! I never seen anyone use saran wrap as it may stick to the paint in a not so good way, just always seen people use blue or green painters tape to cover the front of the car.
