Hey everyone. Hope everyone is doing well. Sorry I haven't been posting a lot lately, I've been very busy with things other than detailing -- including buying a new car :righton:. Anyways, I picked up a 2010 Ford Fusion Sport in Sport Blue Metallic. I am very pleased with this car so far (it's been less than a week!). It has black leather interior, 3.5L V6 with 265 HP, 18" painted aluminum wheels, sport suspension, dual exhaust, Sirus radio, Microsoft Sync, and some other do dads. I picked it up from the dealer and instructed them to leave the car as is with all stickers, dirt grime, etc on the car. They looked at me strangely but complied. The only downside was that it rained for 3 days straight after pickup so I wasn't able to clean it up until this weekend. It had some light scratches and swirls from sitting on the lot so I used some Menzerna 106fa and 85rd to clean those up with the Flex and finishing pads after giving it a thorough wash and clay job. And naturally, with a car named Fusion I had to use the Wolfgang Fuzion wax -- 2 coats to be exact (12+ hours apart). Now onto the pictures! Let me know what you think :D

Well done! I like this new Fuzion! I see Ford having big future with with styling that people like, while improving quality to same quality level they sell in Europe...unlike other makes, the newer it gets, the uglier it gets (new Camaro is good looking though...:D)

Nice I like the front of the Fusions and I'm glad they are using chrome again. We do have some fading going on with the black plastic cowl, so you may want to start using a good protectant to help prevent/prolong fading. Love the blue color and the interior looks real nice. Ours has been very reliable. When we swapped tires to Yoko's from Mich. road noise dropped. Again it looks real nice.

I have been researching several lightly used daily drivers, and considering the Mercury Milan Premier which appears to be the same car. Any thoughts ?? I hear they are both the underpinnings of a Mazda6 from their relationship with Ford.

By the way, nice results and color too !

Yup they are kinda like the Crown Vic/Grand M/Town Car. We went with the Fusion since it has the same drive train option like the others yet lighter then the others.

Looks great. I did the same thing when I bought my last 2 cars @ the dealerships and got some confused looks & was told I was still going to have pay for dealer prep, didn't understand that,I argue the salesman who won't cave and ended walking out & Buying from another Honda Dealership . WHO WON ! I got what I wanted and he Lost the 40000 sale & all me service on the van.

Thanks everyone, I really like the car and don't have any buyers remorse at all.

Sure thing, I'll grab a few in the AM and thanks for the cowl tip.

Killr, I've only had this car for a week but so far so good! It puts out some good HP #s but still decent MPG, comfort and cost. Good luck with your search.

Congrats on your new Fusion. Was looking at the new Hybrid. Do you think the cost justify the savings.
