How good will the results be on removing small swirls or scratches, har water. when using 4 inch pads on a makita cordless drill.

Is burning more prone because of the lack of the counterweight effect in the 7424.

Using it only on a small section, not the whole car.

drill will act more like a rotary/circular polisher. Also check the rpms on the cordless drill, as most would never use a rotary past 1500rpms

I've been using that combo for a while, but with a corded drill mainly because the batteries on a cordless drill go dead quickly and you get a little more power, like killer said its basically a highspeed now, so be careful keep it moving, its a little hard to control basically due to its size, but its worked wonders for me, on the fronts of cars with etched bugs and on waterspoted windows with a little dp gr, also good for healights and other clear plastics. It does seem to be a little messy, form spin off, but not to much. Give it a try.
