Whats going on everyone. I'm from western MA. I've had my car for about 5 years now, and since its an 01, time has definitely taken its toll on it. I stumbled across this site and I've been starting to think about trying to detail the car. In the time I've had it, I've never had it professionally detailed.

Maybe you guys could help me out. I'm probably going to clay the car and throw some quick wax on it for now, but I would like to pick up a PC 7424 to start detailing it the proper way. There are a ton of swirl marks and other various scratches on the car. Is there a list of products I should stick with? I've seen what some other people used on other forums for detailing and I might pick up a couple of things I've seen, but getting some guidance from some pros would definitely be helpful. As for a budget, I dont want to spend more than $250-300 for the tool, pads, polishes, waxes etc. I wouldn't mind adding to that collection in the future but just to get started.

Also, heres a picture of my car circa 2006
