My F-150 has s decal stripe that runs the length of the truck, and one end has started to peel. Not sure what kind of adhesive to use, as I will most likely have the stripe removed in the future and painted. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Rather than fight it forever I'd do some creative redesign with a razor blade if it's just on the end.

Use a hair dryer or heat gun a few inches from the paint. Let the adhesive heat up, but not so much the paint boils.

When the adhesive is hot, it will peel right off. same technique for emblems and stickers.

yup, and after you get it all off, you can go over it with some menzerna nano and no one will ever know you even had a decal there.

Along the same lines, somewhat. What about decals
in general. I have seen alot of guys buying those flame decals
at autozone and putting them on the sides of their cars. How
do you guys detail around these so as to not damage the
decal. do you tape it off or buff over them?

You can polish and wax right over the top of them, but then you need to go around the edges to remove any residue that might get trapped. Different decals might be different, but I have not had a problem with the ones on my car.
