Great looking ride. I absolutely LOVE that color of blue. Blends right in with the sky.

Thanks. I picked that color because 1) it's the official rally blue and 2) because that color looks great all shined up.

That car kills me! It is monster of a car and is a 4 door hatchback; and looks awesome all cleaned up to boot. Nice work,

Wow that blue really pops out at you. You did a fantastic job on it. I've read that the WRX has just about the same performance that you get with the new STI and save thousands at the same time, and I think it looks nicer the it too.

Thanks for the comments.

When I bought the WRX, the 08 STI was available with $6000 cash back and 0% for 63 months. Lowest rate we could get on the WRX was 4.5% (sucks, cause our 08 was 3.5%), so in all actuality the STI was cheaper at the time than the WRX.

With the 09's they have significantly lowered the gap between the two. The WRX got a power boost, stiffened suspension, finally summer performance tires, a really nice interior and it all weighs less than the STI. While I do wish we had the STI power, lightweight aluminum suspension, si drive, adjustable center diff, 6 speed, re070's, etc, we bought this car for my wife to drive as well. I thought the clutch was much softer and easier for her to drive (she is just learning stick now), however turns out, they put a much heavier clutch in the car this year, so I dont think it would have been any harder on her. I have the 6 speed in my Legacy and she can't get that one into first, so in her mind the STI was out of the question.

As a GTI driver, I am just now getting the itch for a Scoob. I always knew how bad@ss they were but I really didn't like the previous gens.

Now that the WRX has been revised, it looks like a great deal and a great car.

Yours looks fantastic! Any regrets not getting the STI?

Of course... I have only dreamed of owning a STI for 12 years, well before the WRX or STI made it stateside. I was really torn between the STI and the spec.B when I bought the Legacy, I decided to spend a bit more and go with the spec, and I think I made the right choice there, I love that car. The WRX is also a great car, but knowing I got the lesser of the two and paid more for it kind of sucks. Oh well, atleast the wife was willing to let me have two manual transmission cars and to try to learn how to drive them. The only reason we didn't get the STI was because of the best reason to get one, the super strong, break your leg clutch, 6-speed that can take a lot of power and abuse and short shifter, but the wife wouldn't go for it.

She likes the car a lot, so maybe when the 2010's roll around, she will be ready for an upgrade, but she has really taken a liking to the 370Z as my eyes have wandered towards the GT-R. If there was a 370ZX convertible, that would probably be our next car, but at least I would still have my subie.

I hear ya. I would guess the STI would get a bump in power in the next MY to creat the gap again. seems like STI sales would take a hit with a comparable WRX. Insurance is probably less in the WRX too I would guess. Not to be too off topic but I never really considered Subarus too much in the past but now I find myself interested in quite a few of their offerings.. I'd even like to have a Forester turbo/manual. My neighbor just got a used B9 and it's pretty sweet.

Well I saw http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/17651-mercedes-benz-amg-wheels-cleaned-sealed.html and it inspired me to do the same. I didn't get all the way inside the wheels and I forgot to clay, but the process is definitely a winner. ONR, AIO, DGPS, AW & Meg's Hot Tire Shine. Allowed me to pull some products off the back of the shelf which I haven't touched for a long time.

After wash with Optimum ONR:

After Klasse AIO:

After Wolfgang DGPS & Meguiars Hot Tire Shine:

After Duragloss AquaWax:

Front & Rear windshileds got the same treatment:

Yes, I know my wheel wells are dirty. They get soaked in ONR & Optimum Car Wash and power sprayed when I do a traditional wash but it's still raining 5 days a week here so they get dirty pretty fast. I just did a ONR way today so I didn't touch them.
