What can I do to get stubborn tree sap off my car? I have tried PB's tree sap twice even undiluted with no success. This stuff is like cement and will not go away. I have heard soaking a MF towel in alcohol and laying it over the spot. What will get this off without damageing my CC?

You could try heating up the sap with like a hairdryer. The sap will get sticky again and just wipe off with your choice of QD. I might even polish the spot afterwords.

It may come off if you carefully use a plastic razor blade, but it will most likely leave a stain on the paint...

Stoner's Tarminator. I've used it to remove very old hardened tree sap.

Try 3M adhesive remover.

I detailed a 10 year old Pontiac Grand Prix that had been parked under the same tree for years - that sucker was almost dripping with sap. I bought a quart of Goo Gone, sprayed and let it sit for 5-10 minutes then used a soft brush and a bucket of HOT water/Dawn mix and scrubed the heck out of it. Then I power washed to rinse, went back over with a spronge and a fresh hot water/Dawn combo, then Clay Magic's blue clay, another rinse and you're ready to polish. That was the EXTREME - so you be the judge on your car, but Goo Gone works!

Rubbing Ach. 90/10 Works everytime.

That's what I use. You'll have to re-LSP that spot afterwards though.
Also, depends on what tree the sap came from. I know the alcohol works well on Pine sap.

Yeah, its pine sap and it is hardened to a stone. Thought PBs Bug Squash would eliminate it but it just laughed at that. Going to try the 90/10 alcohol method. And if that works calling a company out to cut this useless pine tree down piece by piece. Florida, gotta love pine trees. :( If its not a couple hundred pine cones scattered throughout your yard or 50 lbs of pollen then its CC damaging tree sap. Can't wait to sit back and watch my 'tree removal service' hack these pine trees piece by piece...Thanks for the advice...

i know the sap in your case has been on for quite some time, but if it is fresh and not on the surface to long , i use plain ol water in a spray bottle.
