i always hated going home from college on the weekends. my parents live out in the country where all there was was dialup aol, but now there is satelite internet which makes the drive home more comforting, haha.

Yeah I'm on a WiMax broadband internet service. It's not the fastest in the world, but it's definitely better than dial up. Would equate it to high traffic cable internet.

My first modem was 1200 baud. When 14.4k FAX/modems came out they were FAST and 56k was heaven! Now my DSL is considered slow...

Those rooms use to have to be super cooled also for fear of a unit going down. I remember no cell phones either, and pagers, my how the world has changed for the worse :D

people put that in their thread titles when they have a lot of pictures just to warn people that have 56k dialup so it does not take so long to open the thread. i am not being sarcastic
