The weather was nice today so I decided to put Fuzion on top of Zaino without polishing the paint. The Zaino was applied on October 25, 2008. I will be polishing in early April. One thing today did prove is I need to polish the car this spring. I have used only Zaino on my car since I purchased it new in March of 2004. This application of Fuzion is the first non Zaino to be applied to the car.

Here are two before shots with the dirty car. I drove the car last Sunday night to a family birthday dinner and it was snowing on the way home.

This shot is after the wash. Even after a winter the Zaino still beads up nicely.

This is a dry shot with the Zaino.

I taped off ½ the hood to apply Fuzion on the passenger side.

This shot is with the Fuzion applied to the passenger side of the hood and the tape still on the hood.

This shot is with the tape removed and the Fuzion still only on the passenger side.

This shot has both sides of the hood with Fuzion applied and the mandatory product shot.

Overall I am impressed with the Fuzion, although I will do some more research tomorrow morning. I can see why it is recommended to wait 12 hours to apply a second coat. It will be a small learning curve for me to learn how to apply Fuzion in a thinner coat. A little goes a long way.

I did the towel test after removing the tape and the Fuzion side was definitely slicker but that should be expected as the Zaino has been on for 4 months.

The Fuzion also seemed to bring out the imperfections present in the paint which leads me to believe if the surface prep is done properly the end result will be outstanding once the Fuzion is applied.

I do have a question about WG Deep Gloss Sprits Sealant. If I wait 12 to 24 hours can this be applied over the Fuzion to bring out a deeper gloss?

A big thank you to the members that helped me out via PM's.

I am planning to apply my first coat of Fuzion today. Since I want to give the car two coats, how long do I have to wait between applications?

I would say 10-12 hours. However, that is sometimes hard when you want to go out and drive around in such beautiful weather like we're having in VA. That extra time will help the wax bond and settle on your cars clearcoat and it will look amazing!

Those guys need to Build a Bridge and try something different to give their car an extra POP. Hey if it does not work you can always go back. LOL
