Hello all,

After doing a full detail on my new Red MS3 I was noticing extremely fine swirls sporadically around the finish. I have been using Megs 80 and megs softbuff polishing pads. I am wondering if the combo is to aggressive for this paint or is it just because the paint is bright bright red and will just show a little of it no matter what. What do you guys think? If my polishing combo is to aggressive can someone recommend something lighter?

Thanx!

you should be able to use something like Menzerna 085RD to jewel paint. It may not remove all minor swirls depending on severity.

What machine are you using? Sometimes a DA you can get marring on really soft paint.

If M80 is leaving micro-marring on your paint, then you might want to follow-up with M09 and a polishing pad.

:iagree:

M80 also marrs my soft honda finish. Menzurna Nano, PO85RD, and Meguiars M205 all work very well though. You could also try using a finishing pad.

Ultra fina and a finishing pad.
