I'm from washington state and I own an ultimate detailing machine. I
use meguiars paint cleaner and polish, also the show car glaze and NXT Tech wax.
I just bought p21s concours carnauba wax, I can't wait to try it out. My car is a
2002 Hyundai Sonata, its metallic blue. My brothers Saab has some discoloration
on the exterior trim, I bought black again, I hope it will work.

Welcome, you will need some clay and polish. A paint cleaner will not remove swrils and marring.

Welcome. This is a great resource and people. I have enjoyed it immensely. Nice to hear from the Northwest. I'm in Oregon.

thanks for the replies, yes I use the meguiars clay bar, but not
too often. I will use it before I put on the p21s wax.

You will probably need to polish after claying. Use some halogen lights or natural sun light to inspect for swrils or marring before waxing. :buffing:

I bought a halogen light a couple of month ago, the light up here
in the north west isn't to good most of the time and the lights in my
garage aren't very bright. thanks for all the tips.

I used the clay on the front bumper and the bottom of the doors, where
the paint didn't feel smooth, then I used the meguiars polish. I hand
applied the P21s and used the ultimate detailing machine for buffing at
the end.
