So my question to those of you that have used the 105 is, what is your method of application (hand or machine) and what CCS pads would you recommend?

Thanks

All my LSPs are applied by hand.
Usually with one of these. I like the small foam applicators, but I seem to flip on across the garage about every time I use them. The grip handle on these takes care of that problem.

As far as using a PC with Duragloss #105, I think it would depend on what I wanted the product to do. If I needed it to clean/polish, I would use a polishing pad and a fairly high speed. 5 or 6 probably.
For normal LSP use, I would use a finishing pad and a speed of 3 or 4.

I've done it by hand using lake country hand pads (pill shaped-red or white) and I've used it via PC with a gray pad speed 3/4. let it set for a bit then follow it with aqua wax.

If I apply DG105 with my Porter Cable (which I don't like to do since it goes on so easy by hand), I use a green pad. DG105 has some cleaning power in it, but not enough to clean up existing durable paint protection. I think green pad is perfectly suited to the application of DG105.

you think by adding the 601 to the 105 youll strip some preexisting lsp? i wanna do this to my already lsp'ed truck (c845).

i guess ill do it by hand. one reason being saves having to do pad cleanup.

You are responding to a thread that is almost three years old you know. That combination would not strip Collinite 845 but you'll gain nothing by doing so. Start with a stripped, clean, machine polished surface then use the Duragloss combo.
