what wash mitts do you guys use and how long do they last you....

I have been using the mothers genuine sheepskin mitts, i have tried other brands of sheepskin, but the mothers seem to be best, and at 10 bucks a pop not a bad price either....i would say i go through 2 a year washing my car once a week....

i use mostly MF mitts. I love the blue ones at target for some reason. they hold up better than some of the cheapo's. I throw them in the machine on handwash cycle, warm water with dye/perfume free detergent and hang dry. they last me at least a year, but I end up buying 1-2 a year. I'm roughly 50/50 between traditional washes and ONR washes.

ShMitt......When the glue seam failed (4 mos) I cut off the glue seam and backing. The face of it has taken it to a year of use. I love using it like that. About time for another one now.

I love Excel Details Sheep Skin wash mitts, his ultra heavy's are freakin fluffy. And at under $10 it is a steal, heck his Heavy mitts are fluffy. It's the only place I get my mitts from.

ShMitt for regular washing, and grout sponge for ONR. I used to use a sheepskin mitt with ONR but it started falling apart soon after. May just be a coincidence, but quite happy with the 2 products I am using now. I've used my ShMitt for about 15 washes so far and haven't seen any seperating yet.

+1, me too. They have been holding up well for me. I used to use Sheepskin mitts, but they never last. MF was mitts, particularly the Cobras, last quite well.

sheepskin mitts seem to disenigrate quickly in some atmospheres, so I go back to chenille mitts or a thick MF towel.

I use a Schmitt on the tires and wheel wells, a MF mitt for the wheels and two sheepskin mitts for the paint, one for the top half and the other for the lower half of the paint. It works pretty well for me.

i just got one of thoes mitts, the one with the rubber glove inside of it...i didnt really like it, it seemed too thin leather wise, and the cuff was way too long, hell it hit half way up my are.....so i went back to the mothers mitts...the cuff is just right, and its much thicker and just as fluffy....

Never tried that mitt but here is a pic using a penny to show how deep the pile is. Also show the different fur between the 2, the heavy and ultra heavy and very very smooth.
