while flat open cell aren't popular in the AG store, other outlets and forums swear by them.

then you have others who swear by CCS...

what do you guys (and girls) prefer and why?

I use both for the flex. The PC gets the 4 inch CCS for now. I will probally switch to the flat for the 4 inch.

Since you are just starting out with a rotary I would use the ccs pads, alot easier to use than a flat pad.

Plus it will keep the heat down just tad. I didn't see you were using a rotary.

hey thanks for the replies...

i have a few of each already (mostly older LC flat) but need to supplement my stash with some more rotary-friendly pads (ie not yellow, etc)

but AG doesn't necessarily offer many anymore in flat configuration, atleast not in 5.5, so i was going to check elsewhere.......but i'll just get the CCS.

thanks again.

I also use the 6 inch 3M UK pads, very easy to use and work great with all polishes.

I have and use both. If I'm using a polish with diminishing abrasives, I will use the flat since some of the polish may stay in those little pockets and not fully break down.
