Water isn't really slick enough for a safe clay job. Do you have any quick detailers? Literally any quick detailer is slick enough to get the job done.

Perfect time to invest in some ONR or DP 4 in 1 and get the best of two aps. You can dilute as a clay lube, or dilute for a rinseless wash. QD also.

To optimize both the quality of your claying and the clay's useful life, avoid soap and water as a lubricant. They will prematurely deteriorate today’s clay compounds. Use only clay lubricants.

Yes you can, but it may marr the surface more if you dont use a lubricant such as soap, QD, etc. There are some clay bars out there that have been designed to be used with nothing but water. I havent gotten my hands on those yet though.

I clay it before I dry the car after washing. I dump some more soapy water on the car after rinsing and then hit it with the clay. I've never had clay deteriorate but I normally throw the clay away after several washes. One bar usually makes several peices.

not trying to be offensive but why would you buy a no name brand japanese clay

water is technically a lubricant, but all clays I have used appear to work best with lube or soap or quick detailer.

Uhhh...detailing clay was developed by the Japanese.

If the instructions say to use straight water, and if the clay does not stick to the paint finish during use, then it's ok.

Straight water or not, the clay will glide effortlessly with a lubricant. I use soapy water out of a bucket with great results. You could also fill a spray bottle with a mixture of distilled water and car wash soap/shampoo.

I have never had a clay bar deteriorate.

pickup a cheap QD for like 4 or 5 bucks

its better to use that than soap or water

No, you can't clay without lubricant. Clay is formulated to work with a lubricant and will always need a good lubricant to aid it in gliding freely across the surface. So its better to use lubricant.

have luck with dislue klasse AIO?
