Ok, I have done a lot of looking and here is where I think I am going:

Porter Cable 7424
Pinnacle XMT Heavy Duty Swirl Remover Complete Kit
XMT Intermediate Swirl Remover #3
XMT Fine Swirl Remover #2
Pinnacle Souveran™ Carnauba Paste Wax

Lambswool 6 Inch Leveling Pad (1)
Pinnacle XMT Pad Care Combo
Cobra Microfiber Detailing Cloth (6)
The Supreme Guzzler Waffle Weave By Cobra 20 x 40

Any comments? Does this look like a pretty complete set of materials for the paint?

What else might I need?

BTW, my vehicles are:
2008 Pontiac G5 GT, Black
2006 Pontiac G6 GTP, Slate Grey Metallic

yes it's a nice combo to start, my first order was exactly your list. work verry well, but I switch xmt polish to menzerna, i saw a good difference between, but it's all depend of your car color and if your clear cot is hard. btw nice order

Added vehicles and colors up there. I assume the souveron will work equally well on both vehicles.

Great selections--the Sov will pop on those colors.

I would switch the polishes to SIP and 106FF (Nano) personally, but love the order.

you should replace xmt 3 and xmt 2 by menzerna SIP and menzerna 106FA cause menzerna is by far the best polish. xmt will do a great job but for a perfect finish especially on dark color I highly recommand you to go with menzerna polish

What about pads? Skip the 6.5" pads and get the 5.5" and even some 4" pads.

i'd add some foam pads too...

i think i see one pad in your list there.

assuming you are running with a 5" backing plate,

maybe....add an orange pad or two, but definately a white pad or two and a green pad.

EDIT: Rsurfer beat me to it...

You could go with the Flex kit
Menzerna polishes for ceramic clear coat paint, Flex buffer, Nano polish, super intensive, Lake Country pads, Show car kit (http://www.autogeek.net/menzerna-flex-xc3401-ceramic-show-car-kit.html)

you would get the Sip, 106ff and Glaze, a few different pads. Quicker correction times and better results.

just my .02

I wonder, flex polisher can just run with 6.5 pad right? there is no backing plate for the flex?

hmm that is a bit more expensive as well. But it is well worth it you say?

The SIP is basically the #3 and the 106FA is basically the #2? Could be worth it.

And the Pinnacle Heavy Duty kit has 6.5 pads with it.
