Ok, I have some Christmas/Birthday money.

And I am thinking I need a PC.

Now should I jump on that Porter Cable 7424 pad kit (http://autogeek.net/porter-cable-7424-accessories.html)

Would that give me a good base for having all the pads and everything I need? Also, which polish, wax, etc would I need to buy?

What should I use to get the car down to the base clear? I just clayed it about 3 months ago.

And once down to the clear, what polish to get the fine scratches and a couple of deeper ones out? I am ok with filling in the scratches so they are not obvious, but some light to medium cutting is ok with me.

And then what comes next after the polishing?

My car is black and a couple of pictures are in my hello thread.

Thanks for the help.

The Pinnacle Show Car Kit has everything you would need--I have all the
products it includes, and think you would be impressed and more than happy.

good detailing year to you!

hmm I have been doing some looking, but I think I might have settled on just the PC 7424 and then adding the Pinnacle XMT Heavy Duty Swirl Kit.

And if I buy this: Porter Cable 7424 Car Buffer, 7424 Polisher, dual action buffer, pc 7424, ultimate detailing machine, orbital buffer, car polisher (http://www.autogeek.net/poca746varap.html)
Do I also need to buy this: Dual-Action Hook & Loop Flexible Backing Plate 6" (http://www.autogeek.net/duflbapl6.html)

In order to facilitate the pad switches?

If you can go a couple extra bucks, get the Ceramiclear PC or G100 kit. It offers the Menzerna polishes and smaller buffing heads, trust me you want this with either of these machines.
