I detailed a good friend of ours (she's like family) Mazda. The weather was fantastic on Sunday. We had a high of 75 and that night the temperature plunged to the low 30's. Monday morning it was in the 20's. I figured this was the last chance for a nice weather detail before the end of the year so I got started on a detail I have been promising to do.

The car was dirty! Silver is such a great color because when it is dirty the pictures just don't look that bad. Trust me, it was dirty! The tires were extremely dirty. I had to apply ARO and scrub them twice. At first glance I thought the wheels were one gray metal color, then I discovered they were two tone!

Here is the process I used on the tires.

Amazing Roll Off
PB Spray & Rinse
Brushes
Klasse AIO
## Bare Bones on wheel wells
DP Tire Gel

Wash: Chem Dudes Citrus Wash, PB Bug Squash (3:1), PB APC (1:1), Black Shmitt

The lower panels had a lot of built up grime so I sprayed some PB APC at the start of the wash. There were a couple of bird bombs that got a squirt of PB Bug Squash (3:1)

Here is a picture of a big bird bomb. If anyone hasn't tried PB Bug Squash I highly recommend you do! I sprayed this bird poop with water and a small amount washed away. I then gave it a squirt of Bug Squash diluted 3:1, let it dwell for 30 seconds or so and sprayed the water again. It was completely washed away with no scrubbing!

Exterior:

UDM
PB pro polish & Orange LC Pad
Clearcoat Moose Compound & Orange Pad
PB Polish with Sealant & Green LC Pad
PB White Diamond & Blue LC Pad
PB EX-P by hand

The exterior had several scratches, dings, marks, etc. I used Pro Polish on spots that needed extra help. A couple of those spots needed more than Pro Polish so I used a little Compound Moose. I did not clay (yes I know I should have). The finish was in dire need of a sealant or wax. The water did not bead at all! In fact it was a little hard to blow the water off with the leaf blower!

Here are a couple of pictures of a scrap before polish:

Here it is after Pro Polish and a orange LC pad. I bet I could have removed it all with the pro polish and a little more time but I put some Compound Moose on it and the rest was easily removed.

Pro Polish is awesome stuff! Take a look at the picture of the door handle.

I used a Wolfgang Finger Pocket and a little PB pro polish. It looked 100% better!

I applied the EX-P by hand and let it sit for a little over an hour while I cleaned the interior. Then I buffed off the EX-P and I was very pleased with the results! The sun was low so I drove around the front to try and get pictures with more sun. The pictures don't do it justice. The combo of PwS + White Diamond + EX-P were spectacular!

I'm so glad I was able to do this job on Sunday because Monday it was freezing cold outside! We got sleet today (Tuesday) but now the paint should be well protected!

I have to admit that I don't know what model and year it is but it has 90K+ miles on it and I thought it drove well. No rattles and squeaks, just a nice ride.
