Is there really any difference between hard or soft wax?I've only used soft, want to try dodo juice not sure what one.At work we only get the stuff allowed by the dealership.

I just got all 8 sample waxes, haven't tried them yet. I smelled them, and really loved Orange Crush (soft wax). Banana armor is another very nice one. Hard Candy is similar to Fuzion (berry), and Rainforest is kinda melon/pinnacle scent. Very nice.

Back to the topic, with hard wax you suppose to get better durability, and thinner coat (more applications out of a jar), while with soft - little better look.
Why not just get all the samples, and throw SuperNatural sample in there too (I ordered that too!).

soft waxes are also easily applied by hand, the harder waxes suggest an applicator. Personally I use an applicator for all waxes (never liked the Zymol/hand warming deal) and find no real issues in application, removal, or durability.

I've tried white diamond and blue velvet - both "hard" waxes from the Dodo. But the blue velvet seems softer and a bit on the oily side once you start using it. So far, I think they're both very good and durability is surprising - 6 weeks and still beading.

I love the Orange Crush, its a great wax and smells awesome! As for hard vs. soft, I agree with the guys you should get the sample pots and try them both. Great way to try out that many waxes at a very reasonable price.

Personally, if you have the time, I would recommend a combination of 2 layers of the hard wax, with a top coat of the soft wax; with each coat having at least 12 hours curing time.

2 layers of DJ Diamond White + 1 layer of DJ Light Fantastic

The car was professionally detailed back in April and I applied DJ as the LSP and the only additional top up the paintwork has had since then, is some Duragloss Aquawax (Last Picture).

The car is not a daily driver (the wife's pride & joy) and is garaged.
