OJT QRF BFE OFM AFPT ----- It took me an entire 20 year military career
to acquaint myself with only a small percent of the myriad of acronyms--
imagine how a "newbie" felt.

With detailing having a product/usage language of its own, I think some
folks probably scratch their head every time they read a post that uses
our own special acronyms--QD, ONR, etc.

Maybe we should have a quick-reference guide people can go to so they
don't feel like a dumb detailer.

Just a thought.

I felt the same way awhile back....

Here's another link with quite a list.

That should be stickied imho. I know I'm not used to the acronyms yet.

Here's a new one I got off the TV - JDLR, what's JDLR? just doesn't look right - ever felt that way after a polishing session?

I'm just waiting for someone to be sent to pick up some eustachian tubing from the parts depot.

Have him pick up a bottle of liquid squelch for my radio, its full of static. Could use a spool of pipe thread and a metric adjustable wrench too. I'm tring to change my muffler bearings and really need the wrench asap. I don't want to buy a whole set of metric wrenches so I thought a adjustable one would be best.

unfortunately I find myself doing this at the office quite often, and in banking we have codes and acroynms (sp) for everything. If I use IRA and CD in same sentence, client thinks I am crazy.

I know what you're talking about. The guy at my credit union told me I was SOL on a loan I applied for. Whats that mean Scott?
