View Full Version : Overkill?
I'm thinking about removing the $500 worth of Pin Sov Paste and
starting again from scratch before winter. Following plan below:
Wash
Clay
Pinn Swir
l remover
Pinn Final Polish
Pinn Paintwork Cleanse lotion
WG Glaze
WG Paint Sealant
Fuzion
Are any of the steps overkill? Is it OK to use the Pinn painwork cleansing lotion before the WG Glaze/and the Sealant?
Thanks

Looks like a good plan too me. Take some before and after pictures. The paint cleansing lotion should not interfere with any bonding issues. If you are glazing and then waxing that should be fine, but if you are going to seal, I would skip the glaze then seal and wax.

Overkill??? yah i would say so. i would,
wash
clay
pinn swril remover (ASR)
pinn finish poilsh
wg sealant (cure for 12 hrs.)
fuzion
the other steps you suggested are pointless.
Don't think I should use the Pintwork cleansing lotion before the sealant?

There has been mixed reviews about this. I alway's do an IPA or Prep Sol wipe down after polishing and before sealing.

What products?
ThanksTalking about paint cleansing products.
So your saying to use the Pinn Paintwork cleansing lotion before the sealant,
but not the glaze?

^+1 Give it a nice 2 coats of wolfgang DGPS. What is the condition of your paint?? The polishing will remove all old waxes and sealants. So no need for the paint cleansing lotion. If you paint is immaculate(no swirls), then the paint cleansing lotion by itself, would be fine before sealant application.

I would do:
Wash, Clay, Wash, Swirl Remover, Finish Polish, Wolf Sealant, Wolf Fuzion.

that is an awful lot of layers of souveran. $500 worth. that like thats around 6 jars which would be somewhere around 200 plus layers. now that is overkill in itself

I too dont see the need for the paint cleansing lotion since you polished.

Also remember the Wolfgang Finishing Glaze isn't a true glaze, it's a finishing polish, along the lines of 106ff/FA or PO85RD
