Is it necessary to wash after claying if I plan to polish anyway? I'll be using a very mild correction polish (probably Menz Micro Polish).

Thanks.

I never have, but if it makes you feel better go ahead.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. It depends how the car looks after I'm done claying. After I am done claying one panel, I like to spray the panel with a QD or waterless wash and wipe it clean, and then move onto claying the next panel. That usually works to prevent having to wash the car again after claying.

I do only if the clay bar is old and falls apart ... (dont ask it happened once, little yellow pieces everywhere). Normally a quick spray down and dry session before the polishing starts.

Yeeks ... I thought of the next in a stunning product development. A polish that can be used on wet paint to move from claying to polishing without the need to dry. (patent pending 11/25/2008)
